17-19 is my selected works from 2017-2019. This portfolio is called “Imperfect.” We do not just learn more when we face imperfection, we learn deeper. Imperfection is a guide to what still needs to be learned. As Thomas Edison said, “I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward.” Our faults can only be beneficial if we approach them the right way. You can’t ignore them. The only way to learn is to truly take responsibility for our actions and thrive off of them. Mistakes are gifts, and making them while learning a new technique or a new design method is beneficial for designers. So, “Imperfect” is not such a bad thing when we are designing.
